Homemade Marshmallows Ingredients: -3 envelopes Gelatin -1 Cup Cold Water -1.5 Cups Sugar -1 Cup Corn Syrup -1/4tsp Salt -2 Tblespn Vanilla Directions: 1.        In the mixer, combine gelatin, and ½ cup cold water. Allow to stand while you prepare the sugar syrup. 2.       In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, salt, and 1/3 cup water. Cook over medium heat until sugar dissolved stirring frequently. Raise heat to high, and cook until the sugar syrup reaches 240 degrees on a candy thermometer. 3.       Remove sugar syrup from heat. With the mixer on low and with a whisk, slowly pour sugar syrup into gelatin mixture. Turn mixer on high and whip until very think (about 15 minutes). Sweet Pepper Corn Bread 3(B)

By Sarah Edwards, William Delgado, Kylie Shuck, Anjolina Garcia & Sydney Klink        This recipe didn’t appeal to any of us at first if you want us to be honest, the sweet pepper is probably the biggest hesitation we had about it. But being in this class has made us have to have an open mind and that’s how we went into it. The ingredients are simple things and sweet things like honey and buttermilk. We are keeping our fingers crossed that it helps dial down the flavor of the sweet peppers! Sydney and Kylie did a lot of the mixing and balancing of the ingredients. Will made sure to measure out all the exact measurements like making sure we had 1 cup of butter and 2 cups of corn. It combines fresh parmesan cheese and roasted sweet peppers to make the stuffing for the raviolis. We combined egg, flour, oil, and salt to make the dough. At first, the dough was flaky, so we added water to make it smooth and elastic. We roasted sweet peppers and blended them to create a filling. This recipe will appeal to people who enjoy savory food with a hint of sweetness. This recipe is quick an inexpensive to make, perfect for college life.
